The game is simple. You are Dr. Awesome (resident virus killer and all around mighty surgeon.) What you have to do is cut away blobs of cells while avoiding viruses. Doesn't sound that interesting right? Well the beauty of the game lies not in its game play but rather in its ability to go through your address book and assign your contacts as patients. So essentially, each time you play, you are saving or killing someone you know. We must admit that at Geek Central here, we feel a tinge of guilty pleasure each time we kill someone that we don't particularly like. In fact, the other day, Shoe Geek received the phone contact of Mr. X and after inputting it in, the first thing she did was turn to me, grin and say "Now I can kill him!" Killing people on your black list for only US$0.99? We're sold.

Everybody's always on about Proenza Schouler for their amazing bustier dresses, the newest non-It It-bag PS1, their collaboration with Target for Go International. I fell in love with their footwear back in 2003, when their Spring 2004 collection hit the runway and these traffic-stopping beauties below certainly halted me in my tracks. What I love about them is that they're lady-like enough to go with a suit, but show enough toe cleavage to be sexy, and the yellow binding even hints at the designer duo's signature corsetry expertise.
Of course, back then, I never dreamed of affording those little babies. Will you find me sad if I admit that since I couldn't own them, I printed this exact photo from Style.com and put it up on my desk so I could look at them every day? ProScho (my new nickname for them) have since gone edgier, with today's SHOErotica pick, paying homage to this season's attention to funky-fied heel structure but still showing echoes of bustier design with the ribcage-style cut-out design.

It's all but impossible to find good vintage clothing in Hong Kong, because pre-loved anything is considered kind of disgusting. (Except for designer bags. People don't mind secondhand designer bags. Why is that?) But sometimes there's no denying the "it" factor of a good ditsy print or bold-shouldered bolero. Whether you love the idea of vintage clothing or just love the look, San Francisco-based
Nasty Gal has the stuff for you, and they appear to ship to Hong Kong. The online shop is split into two sections, vintage and new (but vintage-inspired). They do some labels but most of it is just stylish finds. Here's just some of the goodies I've been eyeing today... (and props to the delicious styling! Wish they were selling those lace-up sandals...)

Everybody loves jelly beans... but will you find them just as appetizing when positioned directly under the butts of some adorable plastic creatures? That's what the manufacturers of these whimsical toys are hoping. Even cuter than the actual concept are the taglines that the copywriters have come up with: "Super Duper Reindeer Pooper", "Sub-Zero Poopin' Hero", or the homage to Lynn Truss' seminal grammar guide, adapted for the Poo-Poo Panda, "Eats, Shoots, Leaves".
Fill up your chosen creature like a Pez dispenser, then watch it "poop". How droll. Demonstration below (I can't believe someone made a video of this). Get them at City'Super while stock lasts for the bargain price of HK$45.

While Hong Kong admittedly hasn’t had much of a winter, it’s undeniable that the warmer weather is fast approaching. To help you gear up for some summer fun, we’ve sourced you this must-have item for your poolside parties. (Yes, we may not all have pools but at least we can pretend right?) Turn down the heat at your next party with these Cool Shooters Ice shotglasses which are guaranteed to keep your alcohol or soda chilled. And if guests get tossed into the pool while drinking, you don’t have to worry about having to retrieve those glasses. Simply let them melt under the summer sun while keeping your cool.
Available at ThinkGeek for US$7.99 + shipping or at Homeless for HK$100 (Homeless T:2581 1880)Images courtesy of ThinkGeekETA Our reader Derek has seen these at City'Super in Times Square for HK$65

If you were born in the eighties and are female, then at some point in the nineties -- 1995 to be exact -- you probably watched
Clueless (if you were anything like me, you probably saw it 30 times). Alicia Silverstone's Cher gave us so much to look up to: a dedication to daily learning (as opposed to "sporadic" learning), knowledge of classic English literature (that Polonius guy); the original gay best friend (Team Christian!) and the ability to wear plaid so abundantly and stylishly. But the thing that Cher had that we all wanted the most, had to be her electronic closet consultant.
Fast-forward 14 years, and this figment of fashion/film imagination has at long last come to fruition! TouchCloset is one a few iPhone apps (including a Sex and the City-themed one called Carrie's Closet) that allows you to catalog your clothing and archive your outfits. It will no doubt take some time to sort and shoot every item you own, but eventually, it will pay off because you can mix and match stuff to create "outfits" that are saved for those mornings you simply cannot decide what to wear (you can also tag them as "favourites", although normally one remembers one's favourite outfit). There's also a shopping option if you care for it. It's fairly user-friendly and free as well. Now all I need is someone to come and categorize my closet items for me...
