I've been to the Levi's denim factory in China quite a few times and each time I leave impressed. The factory is such a large scale operation that it's mind boggling to see the thousands of workers who sit there each with their own minute task. While it may seem that each pair of jeans are identically produced by machinery, a large part of the process is actually hand done. Stonewashed jeans are literally created by having tons of factory workers rubbing rocks all over the jeans to create that textured effect. So I imagine, the workers had a bit of fun when Jean Paul Gaultier decided to do a crossover line with Levi's that is inspired by bondage and sex.
Jean Paul Gaultier men’s spring/summer 2010 collection reinvents the classic material denim and is part of an exclusive collection in collaboration with Levi's (whose 501's are a classic for a reason). Featuring ten styles, the end results are surprisingly wearable. Highlights of the collection include a classic denim jacket that is playfully reconstructed with frontal cut outs and straps to resemble a leather harness.
This limited edition will be available in stores in January 2010 for a select time only at Jean Paul Gauliter boutiques.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m terrible with my exercise regime. I’d go to the gym with the best intentions and then after a month of diligently working out, I’ll start making excuses to skip my sessions. So when Reebok offered to send us a pair of their latest EasyTone sneakers to try, I was initially hesitant as I’m not the most athletics of Geeks. However, Reebok’s EasyTone shoes are designed with style in mind, for daily wear AND promises to tone the calves, hamstring and butt so I decided to forgo the heels and test out the shoes. In the interest of an authentic review, it was best that I avoid the gym (or so I told myself) and it was off to the malls I head.
My initial thoughts were that I was bouncing up and down quite a bit as the EasyTone shoes have balance pods built-in under the heel and forefoot of the shoes. The theory is that by creating a natural instability, you are forced to use more energy while walking and your muscles are forced to adapt and tone. So essentially, by shopping in these shoes, I would be getting a firmer butt? This I gotta try. After five hours of non-stop walking, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was aching in areas that I normally don’t ache in, yet I’m not so tired that I wanted to kill myself. (I was able to strap on a pair of heels later that night and head to LKF and dance for a good three hours.) While it’s too soon to say whether or not it works, I’ll be happily testing these shoes out for some time to come.

Shontelle’s T-shirt has got to be one of the more catchy songs I’ve heard in recent times. I must admit that I rarely listen to lyrics unless something caught my attention and for this song, it was the mention of Jimmy Choos. Plus the fact that it’s a song about love and missing someone. (I’m a sucker for these songs being a rather romantic sort of gal.)
Anyway, I digress. This post was about my affinity with T-shirts and my discovery of the brand
Every Little Counts...
"One of the shirts from Every Little Counts that I'm rather taken with"
Back in the day, I used to order t-shirts online from Threadless or buy comic/ video game collaboration shirts from Uniqlo. From Threadless, an online community of designers that submit designs to be voted on, I got the biggest kick out of their shirts and some of my favourites were the slogan shirts such as “My career plans were much more exciting when I was five” “Death: Our nation’s number one killer” and “Procrastinators: leaders of tomorrow.” There are also many other graphic shirts that I love such as:

Unfortunately, with the dawn of a new era, I have been wearing T-shirts on a regular basis less and less but nothing beats that sensation of wearing the softest cotton t-shirt with a simple print on them.
The other day, I was directed to Every Little Counts, a small independently owned LA- based company “dedicated to creating an affordable and unexpected t-shirt line for the die-hard romantic.” Hello Every Little Counts, are you describing me? For some, their shirts might be a bit on the cheesy side but here are a few that I am rather taken with. (And yes, I know one of them is a dress but I think it counts!)

Every Little Counts ships worldwide and more can be seen at www.everylittlecounts.net
