Toeing the Line
I had just about given up on YesStyle's shoe selection when they began stocking a brand named La Fresha. Or maybe they always stocked them and I never knew about it, you can never be sure when it comes to the encyclopaedic selection on YesStyle. What caught my eye in their little banner ad on the site was that they had done a pretty reasonable knock-off of the Camilla Skovgaard saddle sandal we SHOErotica'd a while back, for a piddling US$98, as opposed to 3-4 times the price on Forward Forward.
Upon closer inspection, there was much to enjoy, including a whole trove of other peep-toe booties that are both reasonably priced, and stylish. I'm a big shoe snob, and so the heel is a little chunkier than I generally like to see, but I'm a super girly girl and need my stiletto to reflect that. They're probably a hell of a lot more comfortable as well. The one thing I do take offense to is the red sole -- if you're not a Louboutin, don't pretend to be. You're not fooling anyone and you should be content to just be yourself, no? It's the shoe version of a tacky LV logo shopper in my books, but you may feel differently. Despite all of that, I do still love the cut-outs and embellishments.
