Madgical

I’m on a bit of a Madonna kick right thanks to the awesome episode of Glee last week and it has continued on this week when I saw that Madonna is now venturing into eyewear design. Come next month, you’ll see the first of six styles for a new capsule collection designed by Madonna for Dolce&Gabbana. Naturally Madonna will be the face of the MDG ad campaign shot by Steven Klein. Check out more of the gorgeous images and the actual sunglasses after the cut.

Bag Lady: Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily Satchel

If you are a fan of celebrity fashion, you've no doubt seen the Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily Satchel on the arms of numerous stars such as Madonna, Victoria Beckham and Dita von Teese. I'm not too sure how I feel towards it. I'm a fan of larger bags but there's something rather off putting about this bag. Maybe it's the crochet?

Gem of a Phone

Fans of Dolce & Gabbana must be salivating over the limited edition Jalou cell phone right now. Announced just last week, the Sony Ericsson x Dolce & Gabbana creation will hit the markets at the end of this year. At 73 x 45 x 18.2 mm, the phone is facet cut to mimic the look of a gemstone. This clamshell phone comes with a Dolce & Gabbana headset with delicate gold accents and preloaded content including photos and videos from the 2010 Autumn/Winter runway show, wallpaper and a RSS feed from the Dolce & Gabbana blog, keeping you connected with the latest lifestyle of the rich and famous. While the regular Jalou will be available in colours like deep amethyst, aquamarine blue and onyx black, the Dolce & Gabbana version comes in a sparkling rose colour and 24-carat gold plating. In terms of features, the phone has a 3.2-megapixel camera, music player with TrackID and playnow, video recorder, Bluetooth, stereo FM radio, full browser, YouTube, speakerphone, video calling, A-GPS, Google Maps, Google search, email with support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and Walk Mate step counter (for those of you who buys in to the theory that if you walk 10,000 steps every day, you will stay forever slim). One cool feature is the 2-inch display transforms into a mirror at the press of a button. The price has not been revealed yet but you can be sure it will cost you a pretty penny to stay fashion forward.
